Ava Shearer is the senior candidate for April’s Student of the Month. As a senior at Juniata High School she is involved in NHS (National Honors Society), Student Council, Yearbook Staff, basketball, and track & field. When she’s in class she enjoys US History with Mr. Strawser. Ava says the class has “very interesting material and is never boring”. Outside of school Ava admires hunting, fishing, sleeping, and especially helping younger kids learn to play basketball.
