Our students had the opportunity to visit three different bookstore this past Saturday with Mrs. Hund and Mr. Sheeler. Students visited Cupboard Maker books (they have cats!) They sell used books and has lots and lots of shelves and sections to play and feed the cats that the owners have adopted.
Next, they visited 2nd and Charles located at the mall. This store sells used and new books along with other great finds (games, music, book related gadgets, etc.) Their final destination was Midtown Scholar. They were holding a special event that had tons of books on sale. Authors were there throughout the weekend doing book readings and signings. Students didn't see any since they were there earlier in the day, but they were prepping for someone to arrive later that evening.
Any student interested in giving up a Saturday to travel to Harrisburg was invited. During they're time in Harrisburg they also drove past several monuments and the state capital. Students were genuinely intrigued to learn more about Harrisburg in general.
