NHS Induction

The East Juniata High School chapter of the National Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony on Monday, October 20, welcoming 15 new members. Students selected for induction meet rigorous academic requirements and demonstrate excellence in the four pillars of the National Honor Society: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Throughout the year, NHS members serve as role models within the school and community. In addition to maintaining strong academic performance, chapter members are active leaders who participate in a wide range of school organizations and community service initiatives. The East Juniata chapter has volunteered at the EJES End of Year Carnival, organized giving trees to support the Ronald McDonald House and Shelter Services of Mifflin and Juniata Counties, hosted Red Cross blood drives, and led fundraising efforts for hurricane relief. Members also contribute through leadership roles in student council, FFA, and other student organizations, as well as through volunteer work with churches, community centers, and civic groups.

This year’s ceremony celebrated the induction of 15 new members who will join current NHS students in continuing the organization’s proud tradition of service and achievement at East Juniata High School.
