A few days ago, a group of students from our band earned the opportunity to go participate in district band. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s almost like going to districts for sports. Musicians from all over our area have the chance to work with a guest conductor and compete to try and advance to Regions, States, etc. The students that went this year were Fiorella Berbergi on Oboe (2nd chair), Elizabeth Fultz on Flute (5th chair), Lexie Gilson on Bassoon (1st chair), Peyton Sheaffer on Clarinet (2nd chair), Kayanna Kristula on Bass Clarinet (1st chair), Slone Smith on Alto Saxophone (2nd chair), Isabella Chable on Baritone Saxophone (4th chair), Ava Stoner on Trumpet (1st chair), Calvin Decker on Trumpet (4th chair), Cameron Good on Trombone (2nd chair), Maison Wolfe on Baritone (9th chair), Christopher Martin on Percussion (2nd chair), and Jessica Maben on Clarinet (4th chair), accompanied by our Director Mr. Eargle. I am also happy to announce that nine of these thirteen people are advancing to Regionals! These students have put in a lot of hard work for the chance to be in these events, and I would like to congratulate them and wish them well on their journeys forward.
