This year is the start of an exciting new gym class activity at JHS- archery. Juniata’s own Larry Wise is helping with the new program. Wise has over 20 pro archery wins and has written over 250 articles in addition to seven books on the sport. After graduating college, he came back to Juniata to teach math for 35 years. Now he’s back again to help teach the students of JHS some of his extensive knowledge of archery. Wise has taught every age and skill level in the sport, including two USA world teams. Everyone is very excited to have a hometown professional assisting in the gym classes, along with having the opportunity to participate in the fun new activity!
