Juniata High School

On Sunday, April 23rd, the Juniata FFA Chapter had their 52nd annual banquet. The night started with the rewards program that was run by the officers. The officers are President Summer Hancock, Vice President Haley Mummah, Treasurer Shalelyn Armstrong, Secretary Jordan Yetter, Sentinel Holden Crouse, and Student Advisor Tyson Aurand. The Honorary Degrees were given to Sharon Storey, Kelli Strawser, and Amber Lehman. We then handed Greenhand Degrees out to 26 members, while the Star Greenhand Award was given to Kaylnn Brown and Conner Schlegel. Then, we handed out 7 Chapter Degrees, while the Star Chapter Degree was given to Summer Hancock. We only had 2 Keystone Degree recipients who were Tyson Aurand and Mikaila Hooper. The Outstanding Junior Award was given to Emma Arentz, and the FFA Leadership Award was given to Mikaila Hooper. Tyson Aurand then was awarded the DEKALB Agricultural Accomplishment Award. We had 6 individuals win a FFA Jacket from the PA State Alumni Association for writing an essay on what an FFA jacket means to them. The individuals were Connor Schlegel, Morgan Imes, Cassi Parson, Myles Landis, Kaylnn Brown, and Ian Yetter. The last award was the Juniata FFA Pride Award, which was given to Kaylnn Brown. Then, we recognized Emma Arentz for taking her time to decorate for the banquet and help set up for the banquet before the meal started.
