Not too long ago, Mrs. Renninger’s Word History class visited the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center. It has many unique experiences that give you a feel of what life would’ve been like not only on the battlefield but also as a normal civilian during these times. These exhibits showcase every war America has fought to date. We had a chance to walk through the trenches of WWI and explore a foxhole setup used in the War in Afghanistan. Some of my favorite exhibits were listening to the phone calls made by soldiers calling home and the exhibit on art throughout wartimes. It was incredible to see the scale of some of the structures and equipment the military uses. I would recommend going to see it if you have a free day.
