With the baseball season approaching its end, to the new start of the NFL, here are some of the things happening across the sports landscape.
MLB
The MLB playoff race is heating up. From a wild NL Wildcard, to a Wild West AL West Division. Here are some of the playoff teams that have been confirmed.

Baltimore Orioles (clinched a playoff spot, after 100 wins won AL east division)
Tampa Bay Rays- clinched top wildcard spot in the AL
Texas rangers- clinched 5th seed
Minnesota Twins- won AL central division
Toronto blue jays- clinched 6th seed
Houston Astros- won AL west division
NL playoff teams
Atlanta Braves- won NL division (after 103 games won, they have home field advantage all through the postseason)
Philadelphia Phillies- clinched top NL wildcard spot
Miami marlins- clinched 5th seed
Milwaukee Brewers- won NL central division
Arizona diamondbacks- clinched final wildcard spot
Los Angeles Dodgers- won NL west division
NFL
The NFL season is in full swing. And as some people are saying, the NFL script is wild this year. Here are all of the NFL injury reports from week 1.
Week one
Ravens RB J.K Dobbins out with torn Achilles
Panthers CB Jaycee Horn ruled out with hamstring injury
Bears CB Kyler Gordon ruled out with hand injury
Browns Offensive Tackle Jack Conklin carted off after significant knee injury
Broncos safety Caden Sterns also carted off after knee injury
Packers RB Aaron Jones did not return to field after hamstring injury
Texans safety Jalen Pitre was ruled out after hit to the chest, suffered bruised lung
Colts QB Anthony Richardson was taken out temporarily after a hard tackle, no serious injury
Jaguars CB Gregory Junior ruled out with hamstring
Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers out of game with concussion after hard hit in the 2nd quarter
Vikings center Garrett Bradbury ruled out with back injury
Saints DE Payton Turner suffered turf toe, will require surgery
Eagles DE Nakobe Dean did not return to game after foot injury
Steelers DE Demarvin Legal did not return after elbow injury
Seahawks offensive tackle Abraham Lucas did not return after knee injury

NBA
With only a month to go for the start of the NBA season, here are some of the headlines.
The Portland Trailblazers made a blockbuster trade with the Milwaukee Bucks and 3 other teams for Damian Lillard. The trade included 3 teams, Portland, Phoenix, and Milwaukee. In the trade Portland received Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, Milwaukee’s 2029 unprotected first round draft pick, the unprotected Milwaukee’s swap rights in 2028 and 2030.
The Phoenix Suns received Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Nasir Little and Keon Johnson.
This all came through after Lillard requested a trade in early July of this year.
Lillard had an 11 year career with the Trailblazers, he made the all star team 7 times, he led the franchise to 8 playoff appearances, including one Western Conference Final appearance in the 2018-2019 season. He ranks first all time in the Trailblazers 3 point and assists record.
After being picked in the first round, Victor Wembenyama will start his journey with the spurs.
