With Christmas around the corner, it’s time to spread the joy via your radio, CD player, or Alexa. With so many Christmas albums out, choosing one is difficult. Here are some popular recommendations and my personal favorites!

"Christmas" by Michael Bublé (2011) - Michael Bublé's smooth and velvety voice is a perfect fit for Christmas music. This album features a mix of holiday classics and a few original songs, showcasing his timeless appeal.

"Mariah Carey's Merry Christmas" (1994) - Mariah Carey's holiday anthem "All I Want for Christmas Is You" is a modern classic, and this album features her festive renditions of traditional songs along with a few originals.

"That's Christmas to Me" by Pentatonix (2014) - Pentatonix's acapella arrangements of Christmas classics and original songs have made this album a modern favorite, featuring tracks like "Mary, Did You Know?" and "Hallelujah."

"Christmas Eve and Other Stories" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra (1996) - Trans-Siberian Orchestra is known for their rock-infused Christmas music, and this album is a conceptual work that tells a Christmas story through powerful instrumentals like "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24" and "Old City Bar."

Personal Favorites

"Complete Christmas” by Chicago (2023) - Chicago, the iconic rock band, released this Christmas album that features a mix of original songs and classic holiday tunes. It includes tracks like "Sleigh Ride 2019" and "Merry Christmas, I Love You." This features 45 songs and almost three hours of Christmas music

"The Christmas Song" by Nat King Cole (1960) - Nat King Cole's velvety voice is showcased in this timeless album, with the title track "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)" being one of my personal favorites.

"Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas" by Ella Fitzgerald (1960) - Ella Fitzgerald's jazzy and soulful renditions of Christmas classics make this album a timeless and joyful experience.

"Wonderful Christmastime" by Paul McCartney (1979) - While Paul McCartney has not released a full Christmas album, he has made a notable contribution to holiday music with the song "Wonderful Christmastime." Released in 1979, this festive tune showcases McCartney's signature style and has become a Christmas classic in its own right. It's important to note that "Wonderful Christmastime" is a standalone song rather than part of a complete Christmas album. McCartney's whimsical and upbeat take on the holiday season has resonated with audiences for decades, making this track a staple of festive playlists!
