After a very successful football season, I got the chance for an interview with Juniata football Head Coach Kurt Condo.
Q-What are your thoughts on the outcome of the season and the postseason in total?
A-I was very happy with the way the team worked together and fought through a lot of adversity. We peaked at the right time and had some great post-season wins. The kids should feel very happy with their performance
Q-How has the team grown since the last season, and how will they continue to grow?
A-Each year we try to get more kids to "buy-in" and make the commitment that it takes for a team to be successful. I have no doubt that most of our kids are already looking forward to working towards next year's goals.
Q-How do you feel about the unexpected success of the team at the end of the season?
A-We have been so close to winning just one more game each of the last couple of years. I felt extremely happy for the kids. Especially the seniors who have invested so much into the program. It was a nice payday!
Q-Do you think the team will reach more accolades in the next season?
A-I always say that you get out of something what you put into it. If our kids dream big and work hard they can achieve a lot of great things.
Q-What is some advice you would give new and upcoming players in the next season.
A-Embrace the opportunity, work hard, have fun!
