(Spoilers Ahead)*
Ahsoka Tano was originally from the animated series The Clone Wars. Her character was added to the live action series in The Mandalorian, which I have written about in the past. Now she has her own series which is an 8 episode series on Disney+ streaming service. These episodes range from a little over an hour to 45 minutes, so a very good watch and not just 20 minute episodes. Now for the recap, the series starts off with Ahsoka finding a map she believes is to the location of Grand Admiral Thrawn who was a military leader from Star Wars Rebels and the Star Wars novels. She meets up with an old friend Sabine Wren who’s a Mandalorian herself and was taught the Jedi ways by Ahsoka. That didn’t end the way it should’ve, since Ahsoka sees her as too rebellious. A villain character we are introduced is Baylan Skoll who has an evil apprentice. His apprentice goes to attack Wren and takes the map for bad use after stabbing Wren with her lightsaber in her stomach. But no fear, she did not die and now is on board with helping Ahsoka get the map back since it could also lead her to her friend Ezra Bridger. After training with Ahsoka’s training droid, she has a rematch with Skoll’s apprentice, while Ahsoka goes to fight Skoll himself. Skoll knocks Ahsoka off an edge and takes the map coordinates and finds out it leads him to another galaxy. Meanwhile Ahsoka didn’t die, she actually wakes up in the world between worlds and speaks to Anakin Skywalker. After a flash black from the Clone Wars, Ahsoka fights the dark side Anakin but doesn’t kill him since Jedi shouldn’t choose violence. Ahsoka can’t use the map since Skoll destroyed it, so to find where they are, she asks these space squid whales called Purgill. Meanwhile Skoll, with Sabine as a prisoner, finds Grand Admiral Thrawn with the night witches. Sabine asks where Ezra is, and Thrawn is basically like go find him yourself. She eventually does find him and they meet up. Sabine has another rematch with her rival. Ahsoka eventually catches up with them and helps the fight. But this was all a diversion set up byThrawn who had his main stormtrooper fleet stay back and keep loading up his ship with items from the witch planet. The good guys meet up back at Thrawn’s location who simply sends more storm troopers as a backup plan. Then after they kill the troopers, Thrawn has the Night Witches use a spell and brings the troopers back to life. Now they’re fighting zombie stormtroopers! Ezra and Sabine are attacked by super zombie troopers. Ezra uses the force finally, to grab a lightsaber and stab the trooper in the head sideways. Wren and Ahsoka track Thrawn’s ship down but he says he’s already won and there’s nothing you can do about it. Thrawn hyperspeeds out and leaves the two girls alone in space. Ezra meets up with his family and son, asking where the girls are only to find out they never came back. That and Thrawn’s plan will have to wait for season two. I really like the series, even though personally it wasn’t as good as The Mandalorian, I still thought it was easy to follow and had a good pace with barely any filler which some say is a main problem with The Mandalorian. If you are still interested in watching it, check out Ahsoka and other Star Wars series on Disney+!
