In today's society, alcohol plays a disturbing role in all of our social events. From birthdays to national holidays, life-changing accidents are happening due to our relationship with alcohol. Thanksgiving is actually at the top of the list, with New Year's Eve coming in at a close second. Cinco de Mayo gets third place, and ironically 4th of July gets fourth. Halloween, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Super Bowl Sunday, Christmas, Easter, Everyday Holidays, National Wine Day, Oktoberfest, Chardonnay Day, Madi Gras, Independence Day, and Derby Day all follow, with Purium coming in last. It’s sad that when we are doing anything together, we have to consume something, whether it’s to loosen us up or to help us calm down. It’s concerning that we’ve allowed this dangerous drug to take over our celebratory events. Around the holidays especially- remember that drugs and alcohol are dangerous and life-changing. Don’t wreck the holidays!
