Congratulation to the Class of 2024! Here are the "end of year" events coming up....
Baccalaureate - Sunday, May 19th, 7:00 pm at Cedar Grove BIC Church in the Life Center - You can wear your caps and gowns and can sit with family and friends.
Senior Parade at JES - Thursday, May 23rd - Seniors who are participating (permission forms should be turned in) should report to the JHS auditorium at 8:20 am and wear caps and gowns. You'll board the bus at 8:30 am to go to JES where you will parade through the halls and then return to JHS. Seniors not participating should report to their first period class as normal.
Senior Class Meeting - Thursday, May 23rd at 9:15 am in the auditorium - This meeting is to go over last-minute senior related items. Seniors will also receive the required paperwork which teachers must sign to verify you have met course requirements for graduation. This form must be turned into Ms. Sieber before leaving school on Friday, May 24th in order to be off school on May 28th. Immediately after the meeting seniors participating in the Class Night Awards ceremony will stay for practice while the rest report to classes.
Senior Banquet - Thursday, May 23rd at 5:30 pm in the JHS cafeteria - Senior students only are invited and should arrive by 5:20 pm to enjoy appetizers and view projects in the gym. The meal will be served at 5:30 pm. Students should dress up - no jeans, shorts, tee shirts, etc. - school dress code must be followed.
Class Night Awards Program - Thursday, May 23rd at 7:00 pm in the JHS auditorium - family and friends are invited to attend.
No School for Seniors - Tuesday, May 28th - No school only for seniors who have met all graduation requirements including academics, detention hours, bills paid, materials/equipment returned, etc. Senior who have not met these requirements must attend school this day to meet the requirements in order to graduate.
Graduation Practice/Lunch - Wednesday, May 29th - ALL seniors should report to the JHS auditorium by 8:30 am for attendance, class meeting, and graduation practice (you do NOT wear caps and gowns for practice). Lunch will be served at 11:00 am - thank you to our Student Council! Seniors will be dismissed at 12:30 pm.
Graduation - Wednesday, May 29th at 7:00 pm on Dietrick Field - Seniors should arrive to JHS by 6:00 pm. If the weather does not cooperate graduation will be held in the school auditorium.
