The start of the 2024 volleyball season started off slow and is quickly picking up for the Juniata volleyball team. The girls are currently standing with three league wins and four league losses with an overall record of 7-7. In the Tri-Valley league, the team has defeated East Juniata, SJCA (Saint Joseph's Christian Academy), and Upper Dauphin— despite previously losing to them in straight sets. Juniata had to fight in four close sets against UDAHS, but managed to come out on top. This definitely wasn’t the only close game the team faced this season. Juniata managed to be the only team in the league to take Millersburg to five sets, but the game unfortunately ended in a Juniata loss. The girls are currently ranked fourth in the league and are preparing for their next game against rank-three, Halifax. Hannah Graybill currently has 57 kills, currently granting her a second place spot in the league. Brooklyn Ehrenzeller is currently leading the league with 41 aces and 90 service points. Isabella Armstrong is second for assists with 139 this league season. Armstrong recently hit the milestone of 1000 career assists during the game against UDAHS. Outside of the atrium-Valley league, the Juniata girls have recorded wins against Sugar Valley Rural, Midd-West, and Fannett Metal. The team has many more games to play this season, and the overall outcome could go any which way as of now.
