Juniata’s Cross Country meet was held on October 30, 2021. The boys were led by Logan Strawser, with a time of 16:42.1 finishing 1st in the meet, Logan was actually the best time for the day through A,AA, and AAA. Shortly after ,Joey Bomberger finished 9th with a personal best of 17:47.7. After Joey was Wyatt Stroup, finishing 10th with a time of 18:05.7. The three boys all got medals for finishing in the top ten. Micah Fausey finished 25th with a season best of 19:45.7. Juniata’s final scorer was Charlie Telfer finishing 44th with a personal best of 22:42.5. Rounding out the boys was Noah Shaffer finishing 49th with a time of 25:31.6. Coach Jeff Miller was very proud of how the boys ran, managing to get 3rd in team scoring losing to Bellfonte and Central Cambria. Logan will move on to states on November 6, in Hershey. As for the girls, they were led by Emily Houtz, finishing 25th with a time of 24:50.9. Followed by her was Haley Mummah, finishing 28th with a time of 25:13.2. Shortly after, Jessie Bomberger with a time of 26:56.5, finishing 41st. Behind her finishing 48th, Elizabeth Gaisior with a time of 28:08. Behind her was Peyton Sheaffer finishing 52nd with a time of 29:28.5. Rounding out the girls was Joceline Telfer finishing 56 with a time of 36 minute flat. Jeff said, “ The girls ran very well in the muddy conditions.” The girls finished 7th overall.
