It’s Spooky Season everyone! That means that it’s time to have some frightening fun and eat some scarily spectacular food!
This month’s recipes follow the common theme of Halloween Party! These appetizers and sweet treats are perfect to serve to guests considering that they taste great and will impress everyone with how they look! Even if you aren’t planning on attending or hosting a party this year, you can still make these for yourself when you’re alone watching Halloween movies! Not to mention, these recipes include sweet and savory appetizers and desserts, so whatever your preference is, you won’t be disappointed! Anyway, enough of my blabbing. Let’s get on to the recipes!

Fluffy Pumpkin Pie Dip
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 8
Ingredients:
-12 ounces cream cheese
-2 cups powdered sugar
-1 cup canned pumpkin puree
-1 tsp ground ginger
-1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
-2 cups whipped topping(cool whip)
Directions:
1.Beat powdered sugar and cream cheese together until light and fluffy. Stir in pumpkin and spices.
2.Gently fold in whipped topping. Refrigerate for at least 30 mins before serving.
3.Serve with sliced apples, graham crackers, your favorite fruit, or anything else you can think of!
7-Layer Spider Dip
Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 8 people
Ingredients:
-1 can(15 ounces) refried beans
-1 packet taco seasoning
-1 cup sour cream,separated
-1 cup medium or mild chunky salsa(make sure it’s not watery)
-1 cup freshly grated sharp cheddar or colby jack cheese
-½ cherry tomatoes, halved
-3-4 green onions, diced
-½ can drained olives, separated
-1 cup prepared guacamole
-Tortilla chips1
-1(10-12 in) round plate, pie tin, or tart dish
Instructions:
1.In a small bowl, mix the taco seasoning with the refried beans. Spread this mixture evenly on the bottom of a 10-12in plate/pie tin/tart pan. Spread ¾ cup of the sour cream on top and then gently spread.
2.Add dollops of salsa and gently smooth on top. Add dollops of the guacamole and spread slowly.
3.Slice half of the olives. Around the edge, add the freshly grated cheese, thinly sliced green onions, sliced olives, and halved cherry tomatoes. With the remaining ¼ cup of sour cream, put it into a plastic bag and cut off the tip. Squeeze the sour cream into a spider web pattern on top of the guacamole.
4.Make olive spiders: half a few olives lengthwise and then cut a few olives into small strips. Place the halved olives in the mix and the strips around them to look like a spider.
5. Enjoy dip immediately or 10-15 minutes after preparing. Serve with tortilla chips.
Mummy Wrapped Hot Dogs
Total Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 8
Ingredients:
-8 hotdogs(1 package)
-8 ounces refrigerated crescent dough(1 can, made with original Pillsbury)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a pan with parchment paper. Unroll the dough and then press the perforations to seal, creating 4 rectangles. Then, cut strips about ¼”.
2.Wrap the dough around the hotdogs and then place them on the pan.
3.Bake for 10 mins, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve while warm.
Monster Munch Snack Mix
Total Time: 45 Minutes
Servings: 20
Ingredients:
-8 cups popcorn
-3 cups pretzels
-2 cups white chocolate
-1 cup m&ms
-orange candy melts
-purple candy melts
-candy eyeballs
-½ candy corn
-halloween sprinkles
Instructions:
1.Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper, and spread the popcorn and pretzels evenly on the baking sheet.
2.Melt white chocolate according to package directions, and use a spoon to drizzle evenly over the popcorn and pretzels.
3.Stir so that the mixture is evenly coated
4.Drop m&ms evenly over top of the mixture and sprinkle with halloween sprinkles.
5.Melt colored candy melts according to package directions, and drizzle the melted candy melts over the mixture, and finish by topping it with the eyeballs and candy corn.
6.Allow the chocolate to set, and the mixture to firm up(about 30 mins) before serving. Store covered in a cool place.
