The PIAA Cross Country meet was held on Saturday, November 6th, 2021. The temperature during the race was very ideal (58 degrees). The first place finisher was Gary Martin with a time of 15:46. On the Juniata side, Logan Strawser was the only contestant. He placed 7th with a time of 16:39. Coach Jeff Miller was very pleased, saying last Thanksgiving that if Logan gave time to train in the winter, spring, and summer voluntarily, he would be able to get top 10 in states for cross country. Sadly when Logan had trouble with his hip in the middle of the season, Jeff was mostly training with him just to try to get top 25 to get a medal. But through all odds of pain and suffering during the season and the meet, Logan was able to snag 7th place by having a nice kick at the end leaving the 8th place finisher in the dust!
