The Juniata High School Blood drive was a success. Even though the volunteers ran out of time to collect blood from everyone who signed up, and 11 donors were deferred from donating, thanks to the efforts of the JHS SADD club and red cross, there were nineteen successful blood donations! For those who were unable to sign up this time or were never called for their donation, it’s not too late to be of service. The Red Cross will be doing four more blood drives coming up on Monday 4/11 at the Port Royal Community Building from 1:30 to 7:00, Monday 4/25 at the Mifflintown Hose Co. from 1:30 to 7:00, Saturday 5/28, at Thompsontown Ambulance from 9:00-2:00 and Tuesday 5/3 at Brown’s UMC McAlisterville from 12:00-6:00. For more information on blood drives near you check out the red cross website! Thank you to everyone who made this blood drive possible!
