This month’s recommendation is an oldie but a goodie and with the current trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife, Amber Heard it might be interesting to see some of Depp’s work in Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.  The film follows a pirate by the name of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) as he evades military forces in the town of Port Royal and eventually teams up with Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) to rescue the daughter of the Governor of Port Royal, Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightly) and they all come together on an adventure.  The movie is rated PG-13 because of some violence and mention of alcohol but otherwise is an interesting movie for older children and families to watch together.
