Juniata High School

This year's pen pal field trip was a huge success. The weather was decent, with cloud cover and a breeze for the day at the park. The senior speech classes walked to the park from the high school and the 3rd grade classes of Mrs. Walter and Mrs. Aurand met them there. The students played on the playground until 12, and then the pizza came. Students gathered around the picnic tables and enjoyed a good lunch together. Following the meal, a game of kickball sprung into action, where tremendous displays of athleticism were shown by the 3rd graders. For the rest of the day, students of both ages played on the swings, spinner, and slides most frequently. It was a sad goodbye, but both ages were very grateful for the experience.
