The Juniata/Millersburg meet was coach Kim Hart’s last home meet before retiring. From being at the track when she was young to playing for Juniata in high school, she truly does love the sport! The 2022 meet went out with a bang, having the boys win 89-57 and the girls win 104-38. As a member of Kim’s last season, I truly can say she’s a fantastic coach and also person in life. I may not have been there for more than a season, but Kim has made me love the sport so much more.

The TVL meet was a strong meet needing the best in everyone to get a placement. With having EJ, Greenwood, Susquenita, Millersburg, and Juniata, it was sure to have great competition. The boys came in last with 40.5 points, with EJ winning. The girls put up an amazing fight with getting 3rd with 67.5 points, with Greenwood winning.

The girls District 6 AA meet was filled with excitement. With most of it coming from Ashyln Pannebaker setting the Juniata school record in the 100 meter dash finals with a time of 12.77 seconds. Ashlyn got first in that event, being able to make it to states. Other placements included 200 with Pannebaker capturing 4th with a time of 27.24 seconds. In the 100m hurdles, Mackenzie Bennett got 5th with a time of 17.19 seconds.

The boys AAA district meet also went well, Brant Walters got 8th in the 100m dash, with a time of 12.00. Other placements included Ty Shellenberger who got 4th in the 400m run with a time of 54.17 seconds. Wyatt Stroup got 8th in the 1600m run, with a time of 4 minutes 50 seconds. Joey Bomberger got 8th in the 3200m run, with a time of 10 minutes 33 seconds. The 4/100 relay got 5th, with a time of 45 seconds. The 4/400 relay got 6th, with a time of 3 minutes 44 seconds. Tyson Aurand got 5th in pole vault with a height of 11-09.

Pannebaker went to states not being able to make it to the finals in both 100m dash and 200m dash. She ran very well against the big competition. Her time in the 100 was 13.29. Her time in the 200 was 27.20. Congrats to Ashlyn for getting to states her senior year!
