October’s Monthly Netflix Recommendation: Nightmare Before Christmas

During the spooky season, there are a couple of classics that many people watch before hitting the coffin to rest, one of these being Tim Burton’s “Nightmare Before Christmas”. In this stop motion picture, Jack Skellington grows tired of the repetitive scaring or horrors of Halloween, wistfully wishing for something new when he discovers Christmas. After a series of musical scores and getting shot down by the humans, Jack realizes that he is okay with Halloween after all. The animation was incredible and took three years to make in production. The effort that was put into the film is very apparent in the themes, dialogue and visuals and was deserving of the 92% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
