The Phillies won their 8th NL Pennant Sunday against the Padres with a 4-3 win. Bryce Harper hit a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 8th to give the lead. The Phillies are now in the World Series for the first time since 2009, and will head off against the Houston Astros.
Houston Astros
Vs.
New York Yankees
(Houston wins series, 4-0 best of seven, advance to World Series)
The Astros swept the Yankees on Sunday with a score of 6-5. The Astros will have their 4th World Series appearance in 6 years against the Phillies. This is their second AL Pennant since 2021.
