Juniata High School sculpture class has made pumpkins as one of their projects this fall. They drew inspiration from Henry Moore, an avant-garde artist who worked mostly with plaster during World War II. Moore was a British artist who is primarily known for his stone sculpture, but he mastered many mediums. JHS sculpture students created plaster pumpkins that were inspired by Moore's art. These pumpkins aim to capture the essence of fall and what it represents to each individual artist. The pieces of art vary one by one to capture the feeling of fall that each student feels. This sculptures will be placed in various Juniata County businesses.
