On Thursday, November 3rd, the Juniata Boys Soccer Team brought home the win against Cambria Heights High School in the 2022 District Six Championship Game. At the end of the first half, the score was tied at 0-0, and tensions were high! As the second half began, Juniata's offense stepped up and got through the gaps in Cambria’s defense to score the first and only goal of the game. Freshman, Ricky Guante, assisted the goal, and Bryce Rush put it in the net with only 25 minutes remaining on the scoreboard! Although Cambria’s offense was quick, Juniata's defense was a brick wall and held the lead! Juniata made ten more shots against Cambria, and all ten shots were blocked. Only three shots were made against Juniata’s goalie, Wyatt Dessin, and all three were impressively saved! At the end of the night, Juniata celebrated their win as the 2022 District Six Champs and went home ecstatic and ready to prepare for states!
