The Astros have won the world series 4-1 against the Phillies winning the series in 6 games in Houston. The world series MVP, Jeremy Peña, is the first rookie to win the ALCS MVP award, hit a home run in the world series, and win the world series MVP in his first year as an Astro. The Phillies struck first with a Kyle Schwarber home run, later in that inning Yordan Alvarez hit a go-ahead home run to lead and win the World Series. The 2017 World Series, won by the Astros, is still in question by fans and the MLB itself. This is the first time the World Series winners won at home since the Red Sox in 2013. Congratulations to the Houston Astros on the championship!
