The 2022 World Cup being held in Qatar has already advanced to the quarterfinals, as of today. 32 national teams qualified for the World Cup and everyone participated in the Group Stage. After points were tallied, the top 2 teams from each group went on to the knock out round of 16. There were curveballs that were unexpected such as Germany (Germany was the projected 2nd place winner), Mexico, and Uruguy not continuing to the knock out round.

The 16 teams that proceeded to the knock out stage then played one other opponent— the loser went home. This knock-out rounded just ended today, marking historic wins for some and shocking losses for others. A win that shook the World Cup was Morocco vs Spain, with Morocco winning in PK with 3-0. This unexpected win was a surprise to all. However, some things never change such as Brazil winning 4-1 vs South Korea, Portugal 7-1 vs Switzerland, and Netherlands 3-1 vs USA.
