As December concludes, the Juniata Boys Basketball team is currently 4-2. The boys came out strong winning their first two games of the season and coming to be the champions of this year’s Tip-Off Tournament in Three Springs. The first tournament game was stolen by the Juniata in double overtime with a score of 47-45. The boys then went on to win the championship game 41-32. Caleb Smith was awarded the tournament MVP, along with Seth Laub and Jasper Shepps as All-Star players. Following the tournament, the team had an impressive game against Newport, winning 48-21. Unfortunately, this streak came to an end, with games against SJCA and Greenwood ending in losses for Juniata. We’re confident this bad luck streak will come to an end as well, with the few games left this month and games continuing into the new year.
