During the last weekend in January, the wrestling team traveled over the weekend to the 2023 state-wide Ultimate Warrior Tournament. Wrestling Varsity at 139, Taylor Smith placed seventh in his division. On Friday, Taylor won two of his three matches, one with a pin and one by decision. Again on Saturday, he won two of his three matches, one by decision and the other by major decision, before losing to Liam Cornetto in overtime. On day one, at 127, Rider Smith won one match against Cole Blanchetti by pinning him in 3 minutes and 35 seconds in the Varsity Bracket. Wrestling 215 for varsity, Lane Piper won all three of his matches on Friday. He pinned his first opponent in 2 minutes and 49 seconds, then won by decision in overtime 3-0, before pinning his last opponent in 35 seconds. Javier Lopez wrestled 160 and came in first place in the Junior Varsity Tournament. Charlie Telfer also wrestled Junior Varsity at 152 and placed 3rd.
