This link will allow parents to sign up to receive email updates about their child's school portraits after picture day. These emails are sent to announce important things such as when images are ready for viewing online, when novelty items are available for purchase and when new deals and promotions are being offered. When entering student information, parents should be sure to enter the student's name as it is on file at the school.
On Saturday, November 8th at 10:00 JHS will be hosting the annual FAFSA Completion Workshop. Completing the FAFSA is required to receive federal and state financial aid for post-secondary education. Attending the workshop gives you the opportunity to complete the FAFSA with a PHEAA representative present to answer any of your questions. Registration deadline is October 31st.

In light of a recent incident in our community involving a child being forced into a van, we urge all parents and guardians to speak with their children about the dangers of interacting with strangers.
Please remind your children to stay alert, never approach or accept anything from strangers, and to seek help immediately if they feel unsafe.
If you witness any suspicious activity, report it to local authorities immediately. Your vigilance can help protect our community.

There will be a collection night and parent/player meeting on Wednesday, July 30 at 7:00pm at Juniata High School. All athletes and parents are highly encouraged to attend if they are anticipating playing a fall sport.
No athletes will be able to practice on the first day of the season if the paperwork (including the sports physical) and the $35 fee are turned in beforehand.

Juniata High School's graduation ceremony will take place on Dietrick Field starting at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The ceremony will now be streamed. Guests are asked to NOT park in reserved parking areas which are marked - these are handicapped spaces for the families of our graduates who have been given a special pass to park in these spots.

To the Class of 2026 - On Friday, May 2nd, our district physician, Dr. Maneval, will perform in-school physicals. It is a Pennsylvania State requirement that all current eleventh-grade students have a physical completed before the start of the next school year. If you have a child in the eleventh grade who has not already had a physical or returned their physical choice forms, you will be receiving new forms in the mail. If you would like your child to have an in-school physical, please complete the forms and return them by Thursday, May 1st. Thank you!
Attention Class of 2025! The "Daily Item" is offering a free ad with a short bio and picture to each senior in all school districts that the "Daily Item" serves. It will be part of a special Graduation section to be be published on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Check out the attached flyer for more info!

Due to the continued winter weather and unsafe roads, Juniata County School District will be closed today, February 6, 2025.
The Juniata County School District will be operating on a 3 hour delay on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Student's will be bringing home a Mobile Dentist Form along with report cards on Tuesday, January 28th. Please complete the form with demographic information, insurance information (or lack of), and a parent/guardian signature. If these things are not completed, the dentist will be unable to perform treatment. We are planning for the dentist in April and will send a reminder closer to the time with more details. If you have already completed a form for this school year you do not need to complete another form. Thank you!
